Abstract | Examines communication styles of behavioral interventions for therapists and the general public. Findings show technical language to be appropriate for therapists and conversational language to be most effective for clients. Proposes that two descriptions of interventions accompany behavioral treatment: one for the general public and the other for professional behavior therapists. (MKA) |
